| This unit is a study of metal-carbon, metalloid-carbon and metal-element reagents that are important synthetic intermediates. An emphasis is on applications of such compounds in synthesis, catalysis and the production of chemical feedstocks. Topics include polymer types, stereochemistry, preparation of polymers, kinetics of polymerisation, thermodynamics of polymerisation, and chemical and physical properties of polymers. |
